Anna specialises in care, having worked extensively in the sector, but equally, is well versed in large scale residential and commercial projects.

Anna tries to embrace her creative side by painting and playing the piano. She is also a hardy fan of The Fisherman’s Friends and enjoys a good sea shanty!

Dan is a Director at Gillings Planning and joined the team in January 2018. He started his career at Southampton City Council before moving to Turley and then WYG.

Dan brings expertise in a wide range of sectors including commercial, new homes and strategic land promotion. In his spare time, Dan can be found outside getting muddy or smoky, either with his family or on his many Scouting adventures.

Peter joined as a Director in 2022. He has considerable previous experience as a planning consultant, including Turley and Adams Hendry. Prior to his move into consultancy, Peter was a planning policy officer at two local planning authorities and also a planning adviser for Central Government.

Planning in the residential sector, including strategic land promotion, is Peter’s main area of expertise. He is also an expert on nutrient neutrality and the Community Infrastructure Levy. Outside of work Peter enjoys visiting historic buildings and spending time with his young daughter.

Hannah joined Gillings Planning in October 2017 as an Associate Director having previously been at Rapleys and Turley (and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council before that). Hannah has worked across the sectors, but focusses on residential and care, and brings an eye for detail.

She is an avid reader and talented crafter, which she fits in around busy family life and dog walks with Chester – who also joins her at the office.

Tom joined Gillings Planning as an Associate Director in July 2018.

With over six years of private sector experience gained at Turley, and through working on many high-profile projects in a range of sectors including care, higher education and commercial development, Tom brings additional expertise to the team.

When not at work he is most likely to be found on his bike which he races competitively.

Rachel has been working with Anna since the inception of Gillings Planning and is an Associate Director within the team.

Rachel also comes from a consultancy background with experience gained at Lichfields and Turley. She supports the team across all our projects. Of an evening Rachel sings with her band and enjoys life in a household of boys.

Laura joined the team as an Associate Director in December 2018. She has consultancy and Local Authority experience having previously worked at WYG, Southampton City Council, Portsmouth City Council and Havant Borough Council.

Laura is a proud Brummie who now enjoys living beside the seaside. Outside of work, she enjoys walking in the South Downs (especially where there is a country pub at the end), birdwatching and exploring new places.

Emma joined the team in March 2018 as a Senior Planner and previously worked at New Forest District Council, New Forest National Park Authority and Bournemouth Borough Council.

Emma is a busy Mum and when she gets the chance she loves walking along the beach looking for sea glass and experimenting in the kitchen with different vegan recipes.

Kate joined the team in September 2018 as a Senior Planner and joined us from Chichester District Council’s Planning Policy team, before that she worked in the Development Management team at Test Valley Borough Council.

Kate enjoys doing a bit of yoga, spending time with the family and taking her dog out for long walks through the countryside.

Laura joined the team as a Senior Planner in August 2022. She has both Local Authority and consultancy experience having previously worked at Portsmouth City Council, Barton Willmore and Adams Hendry and is actively involved with the RTPI, currently Chair of the South East Region.

Laura is originally from Liverpool and passionately supports Liverpool football club, loves animals and enjoys long walks. especially when they end at a pub!

Jordan joined the team in September 2023 as a Senior Planner. He previously worked for Winchester City Council for 6 years, from Planning Assistant through to Senior Planning Officer. He’s worked on a wide variety of planning applications from householder to major development proposals.

Jordan loves to be doing anything outdoors, watching & playing football and spending plenty of time with family & friends.

Nathan joined the team in October 2021 as an Assistant Planner, having previously worked for Winchester City Council's Planning Support team.

Outside of work, Nathan enjoys organising and competing in gaming tournaments, as well as kicking a football and hitting a shuttlecock.

Hannah is our Office Manager and holds us all together. She is adept at managing multiple deadlines and requests for information, and the demands of her dog, Reggie.

Lauren joined the team as our Finance Officer in 2023 and is studying a degree in Accounting and Finance.

She enjoys spending time with her family and taking part in boogie bounce exercise classes!
