Project Story
Victoria Place and associated projects have transformed Woking Town Centre, resulting in one of the largest urban transformation projects in the region.
The redevelopment includes 32 and 34 storey residential towers, a Hilton Hotel, flagship retailers, Italia Conti and a 1,228 multi storey car park featuring a significant green wall.

Our Planning Journey
Having provided extensive planning advice and guidance over a number of years for projects in Woking, we were most recently appointed by Sir Robert McAlpine and Victoria Square Woking Limited. We secured planning permission for the redevelopment of a car park site to provide a new multi-storey car park along with education and leisure uses. The scheme linked to Victoria Place and required the coordination of two large project teams to ensure consistency in approach. Owing to the scale of the project, it was subject to Environmental Impact Assessment and we managed and produced the Environment Statement. We supported construction by providing planning strategy advice for amendments and alternative uses to ensure the development could open.
Making a difference
The project benefited from the working relationship we have built with Council Officers over many years. The redevelopment of Woking Town Centre is a project which we are very proud of. It has transformed this area, providing many homes, new reasons to visit the town, jobs and opportunities people to learn the performing arts at one of the most prestigious institutions. The skyline has radically changed, putting Woking on the map and it is always a joy to behold when visiting or passing on the train.
