Stubbington, Fareham
68 bed care home in a residential area, adjoining the airport and on the site of a former industrial estate
Client: Frontier Estates
Planning Authority: Fareham Borough Council
Our role
Our initial appraisal assisted with the purchasing of this site, identifying the key planning considerations, ahead of pre-application discussions. Extensive public consultation was then undertaken with the Local Authority, key stakeholders and local residents to ensure that the proposals were developed collaboratively. The relationship with the airport and noise issues were particularly important. A clear strategy on nitrates was also required, and identified at an early stage. The submission and determination of the application was then achieved swiftly.
Gillings Planning has project managed the planning application development process delivering a high quality, bespoke care home that will provide an excellent environment for residents whilst respecting the amenity of those residential properties the site adjoins.
